You have probably found this site because you are struggling with depression, anxiety symptoms, or some other difficult experience related to your emotional wellbeing and mental health. You are not alone: many people face challenges with social anxiety, panic attacks, loneliness, anger or relationship problems.

We all have mental health and the state of our psychology has a big impact on our lives. Talking to a skilled, caring, qualified counselor can help. You don’t have to have a diagnosis, any identifiable symptoms, or a mental illness. Many people benefit from mental health services, self-care activities, free counselling or private counseling at some point in their lives. We’re all human and life isn’t always easy.

My name is Nic Higham and I am a male counsellor based in Leicester and Wigston, offering counselling to both men and women. I’m the author of a mindfulness / nonduality book. I am based at a Leicester counselling centre called ‘Leicester Centre for Psychodymanic Counselling’. In my private counselling practice, I draw from a range of therapeutic approaches and offer bespoke sessions for each client meaning the work we do evolves accordingly with the unique experience of each person. I’m not a psychologist or psychoanalyst. While you won’t be analysed, diagnosed or tested, counseling (or therapy) is a form of helping which values and seeks to identify people’s innate internal resources, coping abilities and strengths. It is confidential and judgment free and based on the principle of empowerment.

Cost of Counseling

The initial counselling session is free. There’s no obligation after your first session to book in further contracted counselling sessions. You may also consider asking your GP about free counselling in Leicester on the NHS.

If you’d like to arrange a session, please contact me. We can either meet in person at my private practice in either Leicester or Wigston, or by Skype. Sessions last 50 minutes and cost £40.

£30 for further education, university students and unwaged
