My name is Nic Higham, I’m a qualified counsellor based in Leicester, UK. I have a private practice at Leicester Centre for Psychodynamic Counselling and in Wigston, and also offer online counselling. You are very welcome to contact me about affordable counselling (also known as therapy).
You’ve probably found my site becuase you’ve searched for “counselling near me” or you are looking for help with your mental health, struggling with your mood and thoughts, or need a positive way to relieve the emotional pressure you’re facing, counselling can help. Talking about your difficulties with a trained counsellor who is attentive and free of judgement, can enable you to understand who you really are and how you relate to those in your life. Counselling can give you new insights to help you to live your life in a way that is most meaningful and fulfilling to you.
I provide a caring space in which you can have a private conversation to reflect on and find possible solutions to your challenges. My areas of interest include: anxiety (in its many forms, including existential anxiety and social anxiety), depression, relationships, mental health, mindfulness, the non-dual perspective, spiritual awakening, enlightenment, non-duality and Nisarga Yoga. My work is influenced by various healing, therapy, psychology, and spirtual modalities.

I have a counselling room in Leicester City Centre, and one in Wigston, close to Knighton and Oadby
Sessions last 50 minutes. The cost of counselling is £40 per session.
£30 for further education, university students and unwaged.
The initial counselling session is free. There’s no obligation after your first session to book in further contracted counselling sessions. You may also consider asking your GP about free counselling in Leicester on the NHS.
